This SNG01 series Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Fire Extinguisher is professionally designed to provide rapid, residue-free fire suppression for Class B (flammable liquids) fires and fires involving live electrical equipment. The extinguisher is manufactured to the rigorous requirements of BS EN3 - the European standard for portable fire extinguishers - and carries the internationally recognised BSI Kitemark certification, which provides independent assurance of design, performance and consistent manufacturing quality. This extinguisher is also CE certified to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC and UKCA approved for full regulatory compliance in the UK and European markets.
High-Strength Alloy Steel Construction
The cylinder is manufactured from high-grade 34CrMo4 chromium-molybdenum alloy steel, a material widely used for high-pressure gas cylinders due to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance and safety performance. 34CrMo4 ensures the extinguisher safely contains the pressurised CO2 at a working pressure of 174 bar (≈2,500 psi) . All cylinders are 100% hydrostatically tested at 250 bar (≈3,600 psi) before leaving the factory, and are produced under ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems within a strictly controlled manufacturing environment.
High Fire Performance - 34B & 89B Ratings
The SNG01 series CO2 extinguishers are available in 2kg and 5kg capacities with industry-leading B fire ratings:
2kg model (SNG01-28 / SNG01-28K2): Achieves a 34B fire rating, suitable for medium-risk applications such as offices, small workshops and server rooms.
5kg model (SNG01-36 / SNG01-36K5): Achieves an 89B fire rating - among the highest available for portable CO2 extinguishers - providing superior extinguishing capability for higher-risk environments including industrial facilities, large workshops and chemical storage areas.
B ratings (Class B fire ratings) indicate the extinguisher's ability to extinguish flammable liquid fires (petrol, oil, solvents and spirits).
Residue-Free CO2 Extinguishing Agent
Carbon dioxide is a clean, inert gas that extinguishes fire by displacing oxygen and reducing the heat of the fire zone. CO2 leaves no residue after discharge, making it the ideal choice for protecting sensitive electrical equipment (servers, switchgear, control panels), computer rooms, laboratories, kitchens and other areas where water or powder damage would be unacceptable. The non-conductive properties of CO2 also make it safe for use on fires involving live electrical equipment up to 1,000V.
