This UL Listed PU Lining Fire Hose is a premium quality, lightweight, and flexible fire hose specifically designed for rack hose and cabinet hose applications in commercial, industrial, and residential fire protection systems. Constructed with a 100% virgin polyester single jacket and a polyurethane (TPU) inner tube, the hose offers exceptional durability, excellent pressure retention, and superior resistance to abrasion, chemicals, ozone, UV radiation, and mildew - making it an ideal choice for indoor fire hose cabinets, fire hose reels, and standpipe systems where compact storage and rapid deployment are required.

Single Jacket Construction - 100% Virgin Polyester

The jacket is manufactured from 100% virgin polyester yarn in either twill or plain weave, providing a strong, lightweight, and flexible outer cover that resists abrasion, tearing, and prolonged exposure to environmental elements. The single jacket design reduces overall hose weight and stiffness, allowing the hose to be easily folded, racked, or stored in confined spaces (such as wall-mounted fire cabinets) while maintaining excellent tensile strength and burst resistance. Virgin polyester offers superior rot-proof and mildew-proof properties compared to recycled or natural fibers, ensuring the hose remains service-ready even after years of storage.

 

Polyurethane (TPU) Inner Lining

The inner tube is extruded from high-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) - a premium elastomer known for its outstanding flexibility, durability, and chemical resistance. TPU provides a smooth, non-porous internal surface that minimizes friction loss, maximizing water flow and pressure delivery at the nozzle. Unlike traditional rubber linings, TPU remains flexible over a wide temperature range, resists cracking, and does not absorb water or permeate gases, ensuring consistent performance throughout the service life of the hose.

UL Listed - UL 19 Certified

This hose is UL Listed in accordance with UL 19 (Standard for Lined Fire Hose and Hose Assemblies). UL 19 certification involves rigorous third-party testing for pressure integrity, hydrostatic burst strength, and hose assembly performance, confirming the hose's suitability for use in rack, cabinet, and other interior standpipe applications as defined by the standard.

NFPA 1961 / 1960 Compliant

The hose is manufactured to meet or exceed the performance requirements of NFPA 1961 (Standard on Fire Hose) and the consolidated NFPA 1960 standard, which governs the design, construction, testing, inspection, and performance of new fire hose. The hose complies with all applicable sections of these standards for proof test pressure, burst test pressure, and dimensional tolerances.

Pressure Rating - 250 psi Working / 750 psi Burst

The hose is rated at a uniform 250 psi (≈17 bar) working pressure and 750 psi (≈52 bar) burst pressure for both 1-1/2″ (40mm) and 2-1/2″ (65mm) diameters. This provides a minimum 3:1 safety factor, ensuring safe and reliable operation well above typical building standpipe pressures. The 250 psi rating allows the hose to be used in medium-to-high pressure systems, including those in high-rise buildings where greater water pressure is required to overcome elevation losses.
